Payments, Deposits & Cancellations.
-By providing make up/hair services ‘on-site’ (e.g. at venues or in residential homes) means such sites constitute a working environment, and therefore a no smoking zone.
-Where possible, a well lit safe area/room, free from distractions is preferred to ensure services are provided to a high standard and within the designated time-frame.
-Access to a clean water supply is required and access to electricity may be required.
-For long bookings, it must be understood that Kellie must take breaks to ensure focus is maintained and the best possible service is provided.
Terms and Conditions
-Booking contracts are negotiated between Kellie Moody and the ‘Client’. Any booking shall be subject to these Terms and Conditions unless otherwise agreed in writing between all concerned parties.
Costs, Inclusions and Exclusions
-Travel costs are included in the booking fee up to distances of 10 miles from the base sites of; Longwell Green in Bath and South Wigston in Leicester. Any travel costs which may be incurred will be calculated on confirmation of the event address.
-An additional 15% of the total service fee will be added for any bookings on Sundays, or 25% for those on a Sunday starting prior to 7am.
-Should a booking necessitate an overnight hotel or incur additional costs or expenses such as (but not exclusively) parking or the congestion charge, these costs will be passed on to clients. Budget priced accommodation will be booked where possible. Any such requirement should be brought to Kellie’s attention to be accurately costed prior to confirmation of booking.
-All prices include standard false eye-lashes. Additional quotes may be given for clients requiring extensions or 3D mink lashes.
-Unfortunately advanced party bookings (of more than 2 months) are not usually possible as priority is given to bridal bookings.
Payment & Deposits
-A deposit of 50% of the service/s booked is required to secure any booking and is non-refundable. Deposits are used as part payment towards the full cost of the booking and are made by bank transfer, quoting the invoice number. Note: If clients are not satisfied with their trial outcome and wish to cancel a full/partial event booking, any associated service deposit paid will be refunded and processed within 28 days of Kellie receiving a written cancellation request.
-Bookings will only be confirmed once the deposit bank transfer has cleared, upon-which an email of ‘invitation’ will be sent.
-Make up trial booking payments are not part of the deposit payment and do not ‘pencil in’ the event date (i.e. wedding).
-Balances can be paid any time up to 2 weeks before the event by bank transfer. Please note: cash payments are not able to be accepted. In exceptional circumstances an on-the-day chip card payment may be made, however a 2.75% surcharge imposed by my bank must unfortunately be passed on to clients.
-Bridal trials take place Mondays to Thursdays to allow for bridal bookings on the busiest wedding days; Friday through to Sunday.
-Trials on Friday, Saturday and Sunday can be arranged when they fit around bridal bookings, although this cannot always be guaranteed, and may be subject to change. Should deferment be necessary, Kellie will liaise with clients directly to offer another suitable time.
-Bridal trials last 3-4 hours (depending if make up only or make up and hair) per person.
-To ensure a perfect match of trial results on your big day photographs and notes will be taken detailing products/ techniques. These are for Kellie’s reference only.
-Trial sessions start at £60 with a surcharge for weekend trials (Friday to Sunday), with price on enquiry depending on trial required.
-Trial fees paid are non refundable and non transferable (i.e. to another service).
-Clients must declare any known allergies, conditions and other contraindications specifically (but not exclusively) of the skin, eyes, lips and hair/head prior to the trial or booking. Although every attempt is made to ensure products used contain nothing that could cause skin irritation, inflammation or any reaction, it is at the clients own risk if they use the products provided and Kellie is not liable should any reactions occur.
On the Day
-Timings for each booking are scheduled prior to the event and incorporate additional time to unpack, set up and repack kits. Any requests to incorporate on the day additions are agreed at Kellie’s discretion, and will depend on available time.
-Make up touch ups are not available free of charge for booked clients when outside of the allocated service times.
-If additional time is required by booked clients, and there is sufficient time to accommodate clients requests, this will be charged at an additional flat rate of £25 per hour/partial hour of time overrun.
-Kellie is happy to add additional clients to bookings on the day, however this cannot be guaranteed and may only be added if there is sufficient time available. Any such additional clients will be charged at the full fee for that service.
-Make up touch ups are not available free of charge for people not booked in for services.
-Additional services must be paid for by immediate bank transfer, or via an on-the-day chip card payment. For the latter please note: a bank imposed 2.75% surcharge must unfortunately be passed on to any whole or part payments made in this way.
-All clients are expected to be punctual and ensure they are available at the time of the booking. If time runs out for whatever reason but through no fault of Kellie’s no refunds can be given. If clients are late or do not make themselves available within the time booked, although Kellie will wait for the full duration of the agreed booking, only the agreed time remaining may be used for services booked. This is to not impact later bookings, other work, or travel arrangements.
Use of Photography & Video
-Photos or videos taken at the booking and those shared by clients may be used for promotional purposes on Kellie’s social media platforms and website. Please email your wishes if you do not want any of your photos to be shared or used.
-Out of respect, please ask for permission if you wish to take photos of Kellie working.
Cancellations & Refunds
-Full and partial cancellations must be confirmed by email as soon as possible. Cancellations received verbally or by text/Whatsapp/Facebook Messenger, or any other social media platform, cannot be accepted.
-Any cancellation received within 2 weeks of the event will unfortunately have to be charged at the full service fee.Cancellations received before 2 weeks of event will qualify for a refund of any balance paid, not the deposit which is non-refundable.
-Any agreed refunds will be processed within 28 days of my refund confirmation.
-In the unlikely event Kellie is unable to attend, clients will be notified immediately and an attempt will be made to cover the booking with another make up/hair artist. Failing that, any payments made for services not honoured will be fully refunded within 28 days.
Please Note: Kellie Moody reserves the right to make changes to these terms & conditions in exceptional circumstances or as deemed appropriate.
In the event of unacceptable behaviour from clients or those associated with clients, Kellie Moody reserves the right to terminate services and/or advance bookings without notice or refund of services provided/part provided. Note: a fee of 25% of the services booked will be deducted from any advance booking refund, for loss of business, unless the cancellation occurs within 2 weeks of the booked event when, as per above cancellation terms, no refund will be due (see Cancellations & Refunds).
Unacceptable behaviour includes but is not exclusively related to bullying, discrimination, harassment, victimisation, theft, dishonesty and lewd/ inappropriate behaviours and could contravene equalities and/or other legislation. It is behaviour which could be reasonably viewed as being or causing, distress or discomfort and may involve one or more of the following; actions, words or physical gestures. It does not have to be face-to-face, (e.g. it could be written, by phone or e-mail communications, or through social media), but has the effect of violating the recipient’s dignity and/or creating an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive environment
Due to the nature of any booking therefore, the client named on the booking is responsible for the behaviour of themselves and of others associated with them. As such the named client also takes responsibility for sharing this policy with any relevant party.
